Jam Signature Events
Maimonides is a national program organized in colleges throughout America. Through one on one learning and lectures It gives college students a chance to explore their Jewish identity with a group of peers. Generally a 10 week program, students are sponsored to study and meet weekly to study Jewish thought and philosophy. Usually the program includes a field trip to a place of Jewish interest and a Shabbat seminar.

Challah baking is an ancient tradition among Jews worldwide. Students learn about Jewish traditions, food and customs while they knead the dough among peers. Challah baking is accompanied by dinner and discussion, and delicious challah to take home!

JAM has involved Hollywood’s Jews since its inception. Kirk Douglas was the keynote speaker at a JAM dinner. Third Rock from the Sun writer David Saks and Shrek writer David Weiss have spoken many times at JAM programs. In addition entertainment lawyers and agents are supporters and participants in JAM programs. Comedian Ilan Gold has performed for JAM’s Comedy Nights and Steven Speilberg has addressed 3 different groups of USC students at JAM programs.

friday night
Friday Night Dinner at the rabbi’s, is always fun, informative and the food is great! Students are welcome to join the JAM couple for dinner on Friday night for a traditional Shabbat meal. Meaningful discussion, meeting other students, turns this into a home away from home.
